Es ist nicht nur die Geschichte der Stadt, die niemals schläft, sondern auch eine von Liebe und Betrug zwischen rücksichtslosen Zuhältern und ausgebeuteten Prostituierten. Eine von ihnen ist Queen. Sie kommt gerade aus dem Gefängnis und müsste nur ihre Tasche nehmen und sich in den nächsten Bus nach Hause setzen, um ihrer Vergangenheit den Rücken zu kehren. Stattdessen glaubt sie an eine bessere Zukunft für sich und Memphis – tüchtigster Zuhälter der Szene.
